Exercise Physiology

Practitioner: Jayden Lehman

Exercise Physiology provides expertise in clinical exercise interventions for people living with a huge range of acute, sub-acute or chronic medical conditions, injuries or disabilities.

Exercise Physiologists work with people to achieve their optimal health and physical function through prescribing tailored exercise interventions and implementing lifestyle changes to achieve outcomes.

Exercise physiologists utilise evidence-based exercise modalities to deliver and prescribe exercise programs as well encourage lifestyle modification to empower the client to manage their condition with regular exercise and risk factor modification.

Exercise Physiology involves, but is not limited to:

  • Screening and risk stratifying to ensure safety and appropriateness of exercise interventions
  • Assessing movement and strength capacity to inform exercise prescription
  • Prescription of tailored exercise programs to meet the clientโ€™s needs and goals
  • Exercise advice for general health and well-being or management for a chronic health condition or injury
  • Assessment of lifestyle factors that may contribute to the development or progression of a chronic health condition and implement behavioural change

At Entire Health Services, our Exercise Physiologist, Jayden runs exercise classes to help our community manage different chronic health conditions such as; cancer care, arthritis, cardiovascular disease, mental health and general health and well-being.

Entire Health Services will also be offering 6 week exercise classes for special populations.

This is a great option for those with specific conditions that want to exercise with people who have similar needs and would benefit from a more targeted exercise regime.

Currently there is a cardiopulmonary class, a diabetes class and a bone/ joint health class that covers conditions such as arthritis, osteoporosis and joint replacements.

Jayden has the capacity to see people on a one-on-one basis for anyone requiring a more personalised exercise intervention and program.

One-on-one sessions are beneficial for injury rehabilitation, targeted disease management, achieving specific goals, athletic performance and general exercise advice for health and well-being.

They can also work one-on-one with NDIS and work cover clients.
