Background:
Al has been interested in the holistic form of healing since the late 90’s and feels very privileged to be working in this area for the last few years.
His initial studies were at a local College qualifying in Diploma of Remedial Massage, including; Swedish, Therapeutic, Remedial and Sports Massage.
He has also completed 7 levels of training in Ka Huna (Lomi lomi) Bodywork through ‘High Spirits’, Kin Kin, Queensland.
Al believes this modality is a beautiful multi-dimensional form of body work and is an honour to provide to his clients. He has also had the joy of learning Polynesian Floor Massage through ‘High Spirits’ and loves being able to offer alternatives to traditional western massage techniques.
Another modality Al uses is Modern Cupping Therapy. He finds it an effective and efficient form of treatment which works well in conjunction with Remedial, Sports, and Therapeutic Massage.
Al’s journey of learning continues daily, working with his clients to assist them in their journey to achieve ultimate wellness.
Al enjoys going to short courses and workshops to develop and improve his techniques and service. He loves being able to add more strings to his bow of manual therapies. He has been in customer service roles all his working life and finds this role as a massage therapist second to none.
Al holds a Certificate 3 in Recreational Leadership and Tourism, Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment and a Bachelor of Social Work at ACU.
